Since the roots of jazz are in rhythm and blues, it should be no surprise that a stellar cast of Grammy-winning and chart-topping R&B and funk artists have been booked to perform at the 4th annual Las Vegas Jazz Festival slated for September 27-25, 2015 outdoors on the spacious grounds of the Henderson Pavilion.Īttracting festivalgoers from all over the country for a weekend of live music and lush living at the premier resort, the Las Vegas Jazz Festival opens with a classic R&B pairing of contemporary artist Funky Friday establishing the tone for a weekend of old school revelry. This year’s iteration of the event was just announced today, with a lineup that’s rounding out pretty with, featuring the likes of Eric Roberson, Shy Girls, Kelly Price. The latest addition to this can be the addition of “music festivals” popping up around the city, most notably the Las Vegas Jazz Festival. From theatrical style shows, residency musical shows, and artist impersonators, you will NEVER miss out on an opportunity to be enthralled and thoroughly entertained on the Strip. SoulFest 2015 just recently announced their headliners for the series of concerts to trek across the continent. The Commonwealth of Australia is often known for its koala bears, kangaroos, and the Outback (no, not the steakhouse, but the geographical location) but during the month of October, it will be known for something a little different, more namely soul. No official press release has been made, but we have noticed that tickets for selected shows have been going on sale, as well as Concert Daily getting a hold of a “non finalized” list of dates and Marsha has made comments about the tour being real. Now at last, we can put the rumors to bed!įloetry WILL be venturing on a Summer 2015 tour to span the United States. After that moment happened, fans started to speculate and the two members started to tease a 2015 “Reunion Tour”. That dry feeling lasted until December 2014 when Stewart came out on stage during Ambrosius’ concert and performed “Floetic” at The Clapham Grand in London. All seemed well in the house of floetic, until the group went through a few lineup changes, and then abruptly disbanded in 2007, leaving fans high and dry. One of the mainstay acts that we turned to for such tunes throughout the 2000’s was British neo-soul group Floetry, comprised of Marsha Ambrosius (“the Songstress”) and Natalie Stewart (“the Floacist”), who gave us songs that we loved such as “Say Yes” and “Getting Late”. In this day and age where “instant popcorn” music is all the rage, we have lost touch with artist and music who have given us more than just an instant hit and music that lacks true meaning and soul.
